I wrote to you last year to express
our satisfaction with the work that you completed in cleaning and polishing the
hull of Duo Delphini. I am very
pleased to write to you again this spring, as I am getting the boat ready for
another season, even though you have done nothing more!
I had only washed off the
transom and half of the port side and I was receiving comments to the effect
that I was making a good job of polishing her again. I have completed the washing and cleaning of
the entire hull now; and I have had similar compliments. I have explained to all that Duo
Delphini’s appearance results from five years of care by myself and in
particular your work last April.
Throughout the 2010 season
we received repeated comments and expressions of admiration at the appearance
of the boat; and I was pleased to explain that I had not polished her myself

I called the ‘Boat Cleaning Company’ after a couple of
local Thames marinas seemed puzzled by my request for boat valeting & boat polishing. Having
already attempted to clean the hull with a pressure washer with no effect, I knew this
would be no easy job. I sent Tony a few pictures of the boat, a Bayliner 192
Discovery, and he came over the next day. Tony set to work on the hull
and to say he was thorough would be an understatement. It was not an
easy job, but Tony worked methodically around the hull and by mid
afternoon the results were becoming clear. I was so impressed with the
results on the hull and stern drive, I asked Tony back for another day to
rectify some scratches by gel coat polishing everything below the
rubbing strip. Again Tony arrived promptly and worked very hard all
day. The scratches in the gel coat were removed and the sides polished.
A final coat of wax and the results were truly outstanding. My boat
was restored to its former glory. I would thoroughly recommend the
‘Boat Cleaning Company’ if you are looking to clean and or restore your
boat. I will certainly employ their valeting services in the future.

Just a quick note to say how pleased we were with the work you carried out on 'Harpin'. We had no idea (despite your attempts to explain) just how smooth and glossy she would end up. To think we were going to paint her, you have saved us so much expense and hassle. I see now what you mean about the water beading, it is simply amazing to watch when hosing her down. You were right, she is worth far more money with the original gel coat on, trouble is, we are thinking of keeping her now!
